Dear Takako & Stephen,
Your beautiful "An Ocean Odyssey" book arrived today. The pictures are stunning as usual, we are most impressed. Your pictures tell wonderful stories of the fantastic experiences you have enjoyed.

I read the book from cover to cover - except the Japanese of course. It was wonderful. Not just the pictures, and there are some stunning pictures here. It was more the story it told me. The story of dedication and effort it must have taken to capture these pictures.

Other coffee table books we have, sometimes have a few "blue water" pictures of whales & dolphins, but only a few. To achieve a book entirely on this subject is truly inspiring.

Reading the book a second time, I can not believe the number different species you have seen and managed to photograph! I can't recall a book with so many good pictures of whales, dolphins and sharks all taken by the same photographers. So all up your book left me inspired and makes me want to go diving more.

This is not B.S., this is from another underwater photographer who appreciates the effort and has just come back from 12 days in Tonga which produced a single wonderful encounter that I will remember for the rest of my life, but not images that do it justice.

Our prayers are for you, Takako, to recover from your accident quickly and fully.
