Hi Takako & Stephen,
Thanks for your excellent works. I know nothing about photography and diving but your photos are great inspirations to me. You bring me to a different world!!!
Your daily life photos give us a kind of warm feeling. From the Congee you made to your wife, I can tell for sure that Stephen must be a loving and caring husband and you're a true family man too. Your works show your deep affections towards each other.
As the bible says "there is a time for everything......a time to to be silent and a time to speak......and a time for peace" (Ecc. 3) Isn't it good to know that there's freedom of speech in your "forum"?
Keep up your good work!
God bless & take care
Winnie

Dear Takako,
Amazing Works (satomi pygmies of Kalimantan)! Really eye-opening. The first pic is just too good, like an anemone tentacle holding up the pygmy ... a charming lady out of the lily pond. =)
Your running-away blue ring octopus is great too. Seldom seen in such a posture.
Kung Hei Fat Choy.
Ciao,
Verna

Takako,
You are on Fire! My favorites from your Kalimantan are satomi pygmies 01 & 04, but the colours and composition of 03 are simply stunning.
I only photograph pygmy seahorses now with double sides sticky tape - that way they can't swim around, the little bxxtxxds!
Cheers,
Iceman

GORGEOUS!!!
Hellooo Takako & Stephen!!!
I just wanted to let you know that I received your book this afternoon! The pictures are amazingggg! OMG Takako & Stephen ... you have really travelled the world taking such beautiful images of the sea creatures! I have been sitting here at my desk at work flipping through the pages!!! I'm amazed how you two have managed to get such great shots of the big creatures - the whales especially, and I do like the fact that the pics have not been digitally enhanced. Lovely shots of just about everything! I love the pic of the right whale eye - looks so human and kind. And you have great pics of belugas too - wow, must have been freezing!
I am a happy gal today! :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!
Hi Takako & Stephen,
I would like to congratulate both of you with the recent published book, 'An Ocean Odyssey'. I have quite a collection of underwater photography books and this is one of the best around. Your book is extremely unique as it focuses on a collection of mainly wide angle pictures with wonderful shades of blue and awesome marine creatures.
You have distinguished yourselves to be among the best underwater photographers such as David Doubilet and Chris Newbert.
I am a keen amateur underwater photographer myself and your book will be a source of inspiration.
Regards,
Yew Liang

Dear Takako and Stephen,
To say I am impressed is an understatement. The book, "An Ocean Odyssey", trueness to the vision you wanted to show is a delight. I don't think any other underwater photographic book has stayed so true to its subject matter, ever.
So impressed am I, that I have posted the following on www.wetpixel.com ...
"I just got a copy of Stephen Wong's & Takako Uno's "An Ocean Odyssey" and highly highly (yes twice!) recommend it to everyone. This "stage" of their odyssey forsakes macro and concentrates on "big" and "blue" and it contains some truely spectacular images both underwater and from the surface.
IMHO no one has yet attempted such a feat to display the sole majesty of the "Blue" and its a roaring success.
It would have so easy to put in some of their other outstanding images outside of the confines of what they have attempted to show but they have stuck to what they wanted to portray and pulled off one, of what I believe to be, of one the most influential books and marine photographic selections I have ever seen. The bar has reached new heights!"
The more that know of your Odyssey the better, this is a ground breaking tome. You richly deserve all the success you will have with it.
Paul
